Why We Sing

Let's see, who is D-Rose Productions? Simply put, we are a small contingent of idealists, empowered by the belief that each and every one of us has the capacity to make a difference. Founded in the depths of sorrow, SomethingToShare.com was created as the only possible logic response to the completely illogical, unfair and unwarranted passing of my mother. The loss of my Mom was a harsh dose of reality - with pain and heartache the likes of nothing I'd ever known. Death had come into my life and abruptly taken the person most important to me - and I hadn't been able to do anything but helplessly watch, pray and cry.

For me, her passing was, by far, the most horrific, excruciating and emotionally draining event that I had ever experienced. And in the resulting disillusioned, angry and rebellious state of mind that first week, I searched for answers... for a reason to go on... for something to alleviate at least some of the pain. What I didn't know was that composing the program for my mother's funeral services would provide that opportunity. It was when I compiled the following for the back of the program that the stage was set for the healing to begin;

None of us knows the volume of sand remaining in the hourglass of our lives... Now more than ever she teaches us to appreciate time... Now more than ever she teaches us to appreciate the people we spend it with... I urge you to seek out your loved ones, hug them, and let them know how much you care. God Bless...

Eventually out of the sorrow grew determination - determination to follow in her path so I would see her again... determination to refocus my life... determination to remind others about the value of each day... determination to make a difference in her name.

Home Business Failure or Success.

 

Running a home business is one of the easiest hard things to do. Many people want to create a home business to achieve financial freedom and get away from the slavery of working for someone else. They want to create a home business to create a better lifestyle than what they have working for someone else. You probably have read that creating a home business gives you the freedom to do what ever you want. You probably have seen videos that show people in a home business standing next to their Ferrari, or living in a mansion. Many of these ads, videos and writings talk about sailing your dream boat while your business is running.

 

You read and see these ads and think that that will happen over night. The main motive of these ads is to get you to part with your hard earned money, and give it to them. They are selling opportunities to achieve wealth. What they don't tell you is that you have to work up to the level of enjoying your wealth. That you have to work hard to make your home business a success.

 

Most of the home business opportunities that are sold to others fail within the first year. If you have read any of my other articles, I have quoted statistics that one home business out or ten will survive five years. If all of these opportunities were easy the statistics would be different. The promise of immediate fulfillment of your dreams is simply to get you to part with your hard earned money. You see, when someone sells you a product, you must see a value greater than the money you are giving up, and otherwise you will not purchase the product. When you are promised an immediate fulfillment of your dreams greater than the money you are spending for the product then, you justify in your mind spending the money. Because you want your dreams to come true you want to believe that what they are selling will work the way they say it will.

 

This is why the home business comes with this huge failure rate. But if you approach it with a different mindset you will win. If you approach it with the attitude of being a business builder and not an employee you enhance your chances of succeeding. If you approach it with the attitude that you have to work harder than you work now to get your home business going, you will be successful. More importantly if you have resources and tools to make sure that you are efficiently on the right path, then you will be successful. If you have a mentor that can deliver the skills that you need, you will be successful.

 

I once heard a man say "I pay to play golf but if I had a coach they would pay me to play golf." Any pro golfer does not take coaching from someone that had lesser golf skills than they do. They take lessons from people who are better than they are. The same applies to starting and running a home business. You must have a coach that is more successful than you are.

 

When you purchase a home business opportunity you must make sure that you will get mentoring from someone that has skills of success. They have to be better than you are! But many times you will never know, because people don't want to let you know that they are just as inexperienced as you are. Read my article on "Home Business Without A Mentor". If you are trying to build a business with a coach, assuming that the person selling you the business opportunity is willing to help you, the coach better be wealthier and have a success track record better, than you are and able to guide you.

Home Business without a Mentor.

 

If you are playing golf and don't have a coach do you think that you will ever play in the Masters? The chance of that happening is probably, when pigs fly. Building a home business without a mentor is like trying to play in the masters without training or a coach. There is no way that you could ever build a home business without proper training.

 

I have never seen any business become successful without others helping to make it grow. This is done through a Board of Directors in a large company, a mastermind group in a mid to small size business, and an individual mentor for a new start up business. Anyone who tells you that you can do this yourself is misleading you. Never have I seen any home business become successful without a mentor.

 

There are plenty of people who want to start a home business, and are sold into some MLM or Network Marketing business that are asked to start the business without any guidance. If there is any guidance it's usually from the person that is immediately above them in their genealogy line and these people are as new to starting a business as you are.

 

I have written articles that talk about fatality statistics, where one in ever ten home businesses will survive five years. In other words, one home business out of ten will make it to the next five years. Why is this, the case? Because the people starting the home business don't know how to run a business. People who start a home business let their ego's rule their thoughts.

 

I have had people say "I have worked in business for years I know how to start a home business". Or I have heard "I have a degree in business administration and therefore I know how to start a home business." If this information is correct more and more businesses would survive the first five years. Even the most highly educated people in business schools fail in starting a home business simply because they are never taught how to run a business. They are taught how to be employees of a business. The information that is taught in schools is text book and not real. The text book information does not apply to starting and running a home business, I know I have coached people of all educational levels, and seen why people fail.

 

The main reason that people fail is they think like an employee and not like a business owner. They don't understand how to think like a CEO. When you think like an employee you now put yourself in a position of working in a business and not running a business. There are distinct differences between the two. The people who are guiding you are thinking like employees and not business owners so your up line, which goes up many levels, are all thinking like employees and not CEO's.

 

We teach everyone how to think like a business owner so when you start your home business you now understand the mindset of running a home business, and not working in a home business. Bill Gates, Warren Buffett, Robert Kiyosaki, and Donald Trump are not employees and have never been employees; they are owners and with that comes a unique mindset.

 

This mindset is not something that can be achieved except through the transference from one to another. You have to acquire it from others who have it. It comes from a mentor and can not be gotten from people that don't have it. You cannot acquire it from employees. You have to get it from people who understand it and can transfer it to you through a deliberate mentoring process. You can only get this skill as a result of working with others who have it. In order to know about it you need to understand what it feels like. You have to be able to see it!
